WILPF Nigeria organizes Peace Walk

A message from the WILPF section in Nigeria:

WILPF Nigeria organizes a peace walk with the theme "walking for peace and non violent election" on 5 March. The objective is to create awareness on the forthcoming elections and encourage more women to exercise their civic rights by voting. This is part of the process of holding our leaders accountable, and the walk would also encourage women to work towards peaceful elections, and engage our men responsibly.

After the event, WILPF Nigeria will hold a press conference.

The date for the Peace Walk is 5th March 2011, at 8am. The march starts from Okpara Square Enugu, and ends at Sports Club GRA Enugu. Please invite family and friends to participate in the walk to encourage women to vote.
