They have small single rooms with shared bathrooms and kitchen. It is very close to the Augustins tram stop in Plainpalais. It is not very modern, but extremely clean, quiet and friendly. The rooms have a lockable closet, desk, bed and a sink. There are bathrooms and showers on each floor and a kitchen for every 2 floors. You have the option of renting a private cupboard (6 CHF per month) that is located in a common area and a refrigerator box, also with a lock. The rooms and bedding (which is also provided) are cleaned twice a month. There is also either wireless internet or modems available for the internet for 10 CHF per month and laundry facilities on-site. Because the foyer is a dedicated space for students, it is expected that noise be kept to a minimum after 10pm, which is also when many of the common areas like the kitchens or showers are not available.
Single rooms cost 540 CHF per month which includes breakfast, heating, use of kitchen, showers, ironing and 2 TV rooms (it is a bit lower for students or interns who are not paid 500 CHF-justification required). There is a 50 CHF registration fee and a 100 CHF refundable deposit.

Some of our interns stay in a résidence on rue des Alpes 17. It was refurbished in Spring 2006 and offers wireless internet. It's located in the lively area of les Pâquis, only 2 minutes away from Cornavin main station and 3 minutes away from the lake. Interns have their own room (small, but clean and well furnished) with a sink and a shower. The toilets have to be shared with one other person. The building offers shared kitchen and laundry facilities. The rooms are cleaned once a month.
