International Women's Day Disarmament Seminar

For more than twenty years, the Geneva disarmament community has organized an international womens' day seminar. The 2007 International Women's Day Seminar will be co sponsored by the NGO Working Group on Peace and the NGO Committee for Disarmament. This year, the seminar, to be held on 7 March 2007, will focus on the issue of military expenditures and will discuss gender budgeting and human security approaches to financial decision making by governments. The seminar will look at issues related to global arms expenditures, and how these issues are being dealt with on a local, national, and international level.

The seminar will be held at 1, rue de Varembe, in the ground floor conference room.
