WILPF delegation to the UN Commission on the Status of Women!

de la Mujer de NU^! The WILPF-UN Office, New York welcomes* WILPF members to come to New York City to participate in the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). We ask that you arrive in New York by Friday evening, 24 February 2006, in order to attend a WILPF strategy meeting and the NGO Committee on the Status of Women’s NGO Consultation prior to the commencement of the CSW. The two major themes that the members of
the CSW will consider during the 50th Session are: Beyond reviewing the implementation of these themes found in the Beijing Platform for Action, the members of the CSW in 2006 will make important decisions on the CSW’s program of work and methods of work for 2007-2011. In the coming months, women’s organizations can help to shape the work of the CSW for years to come! If you plan to participate in CSW50, please send your full name, all contact information (email address, mailing address, phone number) and your WILPF section/branch/int’l to wilpfcsw50@peacewomen.org.
